VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - After hearing Hall of Famer Jim Rice speak at the "Meet the Stars" Banquet on Jan. 20, the Old Dominion University Baseball team held their annual clinic on Saturday at the Virginia Beach Field House.
From 9 a.m. to noon, ODU Head Coach Chris Finwood, his staff, and the ODU Baseball team provided instruction for children grades 1 through 8. Several major and minor league players from the Hampton Roads area were also in attendance at the annual event that shifted to Virginia Beach in 2012.
The Monarchs begin their 2012 campaign on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex when they host Temple at 3 p.m.
