NORFOLK, VA--Number one ranked Old Dominion (18-1/8-0) got first half goals from Stephanie Kratzer(Lititz,PA.) and Danielle Clutter(Chambersburg, PA.) for a 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association victory over the Tribe of The College of William and Mary(6-11/1-7) Friday evening. ODU finishes the CAA regular season 8-0.
The victory gives ODU a 2-0 lead and 20 total points in the Optima Health Challenge which is a year-long competition between ODU and William and Mary. The winning school gets 10 points for every victoryagainst the other.
The Lady Monarchs opening score came 14:43 into the match as Clutter scored on an assist from Kathryn Kirk (Lititz,.PA.). About six minutes later Rebecca Condie( Andover, UK) found Stephanie Kratzer for the second goal.
The Lady Monarchs outshot the Tribe, 15-2 as Devon Seifert(Marmora, NJ.) picked up her seventh shutout of the season.
The Lady Monarchs host second ranked North Carolina in the home regular season finale Sunday at 1 p.m. which will be a WHITEOUT.
