KINGSTON, RI.-- ODU's rising junior and two-time All-CAA selection Samantha Morrell (North Kingstown, RI.) will defend her title today againt Ali Prazak in the Championship of the Ocean State Women's Golf Association at the Laurel Lane Country Club.
Morrell, defeated Kris Kennedy, 9 and 8 in the semifinals. Morrell came in secondin the stroke play round with a 75.
This past season, Morrell was named second team All-CAA for the second straight yearas she finished second at the Great Smokies Tournament, fourth at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, sixth at the Tina Barrett and 11th at the CAA Championships. As a freshman, Morrell was the CAA's Rookie of the Year.
