Because of impending rain forecast for the Hampton Roads area today, the ODU Baseball Monarchs - Towson in a three-game CAA series beginning Fridayhas been moved to 4 p.m. at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex. ODU is looking to set a newsingle game attendance mark Friday night. The record is 2,125 set in 1984 againstVirginia Tech.

The Tigers are led in hitting by Chris Wychock with five homers, 20 RBI and 22 runs scored along with a .310 batting average. Nick Natoli is second at .307. On themound, Charlie Cononie is 3-2 with a 3.45 ERA. He has 56 strikeouts in just 44.1 innings of work.

ODU and Towson have met 36 previous times, with ODU leading, 19-17. Last year, theTigers beat ODU two of three games.

ODU has three of its starters with four wins, while senior Kyle Hald leads the league in strikeouts with 62 in 49 innings of work. Senior reliever Adam Wisniewski leads the CAA in saves with eight and appearances with 18.

Junior shortstop Josh Wright is third in the CAA with 10 homers, while Chris Baker is tied for sixth with six. In just CAA games, Wright is hitting .362 with sixhomers and 17 RBI. Chris Baker is tied for the League lead in doubles with 14.

Saturday's game will begin at 4 p.m. and Sunday's will start at 2 p.m.
