WALLACE, NC-- Because of inclement weather in the Wilmington, NC area, the final round of the UNCW Lady Seahawk Classic has been cancelled. The Lady Monarchs willfinish second with a two-round score of 616. East Carolina wins the event with a 603 score.
ODU freshman Elizabeth Haycock tied for second after shooting 75 in both the first and second rounds and fellow freshman Kimberley Bradbury shot 74, 78 for 152 to lead the Lady Monarchs to second place. Haycock and Bradbury were both named to the all-tournament squad.
Haycock tied for second with Catrine Gunnarsson of James Madison, just two strokes behind tournament medalist Fanny Wolte of East Carolina.
The Lady Monarchs compete in the CAA Championships, April 22-24 at Pinehurst, NC.
