NORFOLK, Va. - Joanna Dobrowolska won at No. 1 singles but it would not be enough as Old Dominion University women's tennis fell to UNC Wilmington 4-1 in the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament Friday morning.
ODU dropped the doubles point, falling at the two and three doubles spots.
Dobrowolska picked up ODU's lone win of the match with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1.
Kelly Cameron got UNCW on the board with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Juliana Pires at No. 1 while Lindsay Leblang picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 over Nika Khmolovska.
The Seahawks clinched the win when Chelsea Kahle topped Margarita Belyakova 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5.
Christina Lee was up on Diana Ivanova 7-5, 3-0 at No. 2 and Melissa Esnal Olguin was up 6-4, 4-2 at No. 2 when the match was stopped.
The Lady Monarchs finish the season with an overall record of 11-12.
