RICHMOND, Va. (March 23, 2011) - Old Dominion sophomore Samantha Morrell (North Kingstown, RI.) earned CAA Women's Golfer of the Week accolades after her strong finish at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.
Morrell earned a fourth place finish at the event held on the Ford's Colony Country Club course in Williamsburg, Va. The sophomore carded back-to-back rounds of 75 to finish eight strokes back of the champion (150, +6). Morrell's finish assisted the Lady Monarchs to a tie for fifth place among 21 teams. William & Mary, Towson, and Hofstra also participated in the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.
This is the second Golfer of the Week honor this season for Morrell who was the CAA Rookie of the Year last year.
