NORFOLK, VA-- Chris Harmon, Evan Newton and Jordan LeBlanc have been named to the2010 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VASID) Men's Soccer Univeristy Division All-State squad. Harmon and Newton on first team and Le Blanc on second team.

Harmon, a sophomore midfielder led ODU in scoring with seven goals, three assists for 17 points, while LeBlanc was second with five goals, two assists and 12 total points. Harmon hadfour game winning goals for ODU and was a perfect two-for-two in penalty kicks.

Evan Newton who was recently selected in the first round of the MLS Supplementaldraft by Houston registered six shutouts, 74 saves and a 1.07 goals against average.He was named first team All-CAA and second team All-Region. Newton is ODU's all-timeleader in both saves with 254 and 36 shutouts.

The Monarchs finished the season with a 10-7-2 record and advanced to the NCAA College Cup's second Round after knocking off defending National Champion Virginia, 1-0 in the first round. The Monarchs have competed in seven of the last nine College Cups.

James Madison's C.J. Sapong was named Player of the Year, Freshman Brian Span of Virginia was named Rookie of the Year, while William and Mary's Chris Norris was named Coach of the Year.
