NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Thomas DeMarco threw for three touchdowns and Old Dominion recovered four Virginia Military fumbles in a 45-28 win on Saturday.
VMI led 14-7 in the first quarter, but the Monarchs (7-3) came back to take the lead on Jarod Brown's 24-yard field goal and Mario Crawford's 25-yard touchdown run, which was set up by Ronnie Cameron's fumble recovery at the VMI 34.
DeMarco, who was 20-of-35 passing for 270 yards, threw to Kai Blanco, Prentice Gill and Chris Lovitt for the Monarchs' next three touchdowns and a 38-14 lead.
Crawford, who had 59 yards on 13 carries, added a 1-yard touchdown run for the Monarchs, who had 459 yards total offense.
T.J. Talley had three receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns for VMI (3-7). Chaz Jones rushed for 114 yards a touchdown.
