Men's Tennis Stays Unbeaten in Doubles at ITA Regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Old Dominion University men's tennis continued its solid play, staying unbeaten in doubles play at the ITA Atlantic Regional in Charlottesville, Va. on Thursday.

The ODU doubles tandem of Krzysztof Muzalewski and Tobias Fanselow stormed through their first doubles match, defeating Radford 8-1. Their second round match versus Penn State was tougher, but Muzalewski and Fanselow prevailed, 8-6. The ODU duo will be back in action tomorrow against Maryland, at a time to be determined, but not earlier than 2 p.m.

The Monarchs' second doubles team of Fahoum Fahoum and Benjamin Chomette followed suit, going unbeaten in their first two matches. The pair beat a team from Radford 8-5 before dispatching Norfolk State to reach the quarterfinals. Fahoum and Chomette will face George Washington tomorrow, also not before 2 p.m.

The Monarchs were also solid in singles play. Albert Ochagavia won his first match with a three set win over VCU's Camill Salomon, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5. Fanselow and Fahoum each followed suit by winning their first match before dropping their second match.

Benjamin Chomette won his first two matches before dropping his first singles match.
