GREENVILLE, NC-- Lady Monarch sophomore Samantha Morrell (North Kingstown, RI.)fired a 72 today to finish with a 217 for 54 holes to tie for third at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. As a team, the Lady Monarchs finished 10th with a total score of 912.
Morrell finished five strokes behind tournament champion Christine Shimel of the University of Maryland. Maryland also won the team title with an 876. KimberleyBradbury (DerbyShire, England) and Emma Gilmore (Ballinaside, Ireland) shot 75 today. Bradbury finished with a 231 to tie for 44th place and Gilmore finished at 235 for 65th.
ODU returns to action to compete in the Tribe Invitational Oct. 16 and 17.
