GREENVILLE, NC-- ODU Sophomore Samantha Morrell fired a 71 in the second round totie fo sixth with a 145 at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. She is just fourstrokes beind the leader.
As a team, the ODU Lady Monarch golfers are 12th with a 36 hole score of 611. Maryland leads the tournament with a 586, three strokes ahead of Penn.
Morrell shot 74 in the first round, then 71 in the second as she trails tournamentleader Faith Hardison of host East Carolina who has a 141. Morrell is tied with Jessie Hollandsworth of Maryland. Kristen Hagan shot 75 in the second round tofnished with a 152 and tied for 36th.
The third and final round is Tuesday.
