WICHITA, KANSAS--Old Dominion University men's and women's assistant golf coachCarol Robertson won both of her matches today to advance to the finals of the U.S Women's Mid-Amateur Championships at the 6,209 yard, par-72 Wichita Country Club.
Robertson, the former Virginia State Golf Association Women's Amateur champion defeated Sydney Wells of Menominee, Michigan 4 and 3 in the quarterfinals, then Beat Robin Burke of Houston, TX, 5 and 4.
She will meet Meghan Stasi on Friday.
Robertson is a two-time CAA Player of the Year, in 2003 and 2004, and three-time first teamAll-CAA selection. She was the Conference medalist in 2003, and twice qualified for the NCAA EastRegion. Last January, she was one of 25 selected to the CAA's Silver Anniversary team for women'sGolf.
