Sophomore Samantha Morrell fired a 70 and is tied for fifth after one round of theGreat Smokies Intercollegaite being played at the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort.
As a team, the Lady Monarchs are tied with Appalachian State for third with afirst round score of 299. Jacksonville State leads at 289, followed by BowlingGreen State at 294.
Lady Monarch freshman Kimberley Bradbury shot 74 and is tied for 21st.
