Norfolk, Va. - Old Dominion University's Mascot, Big Blue, remains undefeated after two weeks of the Capital One Mascot Bowl.

Big Blue Defeated United States Air Force Academy's "The Bird" by a margin of 41,694 votes. Big Blue remains the number one mascot overall in votes, despite a last minute rally by the University of Tennessee's "Smokey", coming in just 550 votes short of Old Dominion.

Capital One's featured matchup this week is between ODU's "Big Blue" and Montana's "Monte", a two-time champion of the Capital One Bowl Mascot Challenge. "Monte" also remains undefeated with a week one victory against University of Maryland's "Testudo" and a week two win against Western Kentucky's "Big Red".

The Capital One National Mascot of the Year is determined through fan voting. Each week throughout the college football season, fans visit capitalonebowl.com to vote for their favorite All-American Mascot. Voting consists of 12 weekly head-to-furry-head match ups between the All-Americans, with fans being able to vote daily at capitalonebowl.com for their favorite mascots. The mascots with the best win/loss records face off in online playoffs starting November 22, and the winner will be pronounced Capital One National Mascot of the Year on January 1, 2011 during the Capital One Bowl.
