ROANOKE, VA-- ODU signees for this coming 2010-11 season Tim Ritter (Chantilly, VA.), Preston Leigh (Suffolk, Va. )and John Dawson (Chesapeake, VA.) are all in the top 30 after two rounds of the VSGA Amateur Championships at the Roanoke Country Club.
Tim Ritter from Virginia AAA State champion Westfield High School shot 74 today tofinish with a 36 hole score of 144 for 12th place, 10 strokes behind tournament leader Jake Mondy of Blacksburg, Va.
Tidewater Conference Champion Preston Leigh from Greenbrier Christian Academyis tied for 13th with a 145. He shot a 73 today.
The Monarchs third incoming freshman John Dawson from nearby Hickory High Schoolfired a 75 today and has an 36 hole score of 148 and is tied for 28th in the 90person Championship field.
