NORFOLK, Va. - After picking up its first victory of the season Saturday, the Old Dominion women's lacrosse team will look to continue its success on the road as they travel to Longwood for a 7 p.m. game Wednesday.
The Lady Monarchs (1-2) netted their season-high in goals during a 14-9 win over St. Joseph's Saturday. Senior Ashley Kellogg exploded for a season-best five goals and dished out two assists. Sophomore Lisa Bernardini had a score and handed out a career-high four assists in the ODU victory.
Kellogg ranks second in the CAA and 20th nationally with 3.33 goals per game, while Bernardini is also second in the conference and 11th in the country with 2.33 assists per game. Senior Saratu Dodo is second in the nation in caused turnovers, with three a game.
Longwood (3-4) has won two of its last three games, including a 14-11 victory over Davidson on Saturday.
Karli Brentlinger and Cara O'Brien lead the Lancers with 19 points apiece. They are each tied for the team-lead with 16 goals, while Page Farmer paces the squad with 11 assists.
Old Dominion topped Longwood 10-8 last year in the only meeting between the programs. Kellogg posted a career-high six goals in the win.
