NORFOLK, VA-- The ODU Soccer Monarchs (6-1-1/1-0-1) travel to Williamsburg, Va. totake on the Tribe of William and Mary (6-3/1-1) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Albert-Daley Field.
The Tribe is led by Andrew Hoxie with six goals and six assists for 18 points. PriceThomas is second with four gaols and Alan Koger has three goals. Nathaniel Bakois second onthe team in assists with four. Andrew McAdams has a 0.81 goals againstaverage. William and Mary defeated Towson, 4-1, then lost to George Mason, 1-0.Hoxie also leads the CAA in points,goals scored, and assists.
Junior goal keeper Evan Newton has a 0.49 goals against average with five shutouts.He now owns the ODU career shutout record with 24. Nane Joseph and Steffen Rabbenlead the Monarchs with seven points each while Yannick Smith is second with six, and Bobby Foglesong has five.
The Monarch assist leaders are both freshmen in Yannick Smith and Shane Howard withfour each.
Rabben and Joseph are tied for ninth in the CAA in goals, while Smith and Howard are tied for third in assists. Newton is tied with JMU's Ken Manahan and George Mason's Sean Kelley with five shutouts. He is second in the league with a 0.49goals against average.
The Series: W&M leads the series, 19-18-8. Last year W&M defeated the Monarchs, 2-0in Norfolk, ending ODU's five game win streak against the Tribe.
ODU travels to Towson this weekend.
