NORFOLK, VA-- The ODU Soccer Monarchs (8-4-2/3-3-2) return home Tuesday night to play the Rams of Virginia Commonwealth (5-7-2/2-5-1). Game time for this CAA tilt is 7 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
VCU has won its last two games with wins over Georgia State and Towson. The Ramsare led in scoring by junior forward Romario Blandon with seven goals and fiveassists for 19 total points. Owusu Seykere is second with nine points on threegoals and three assists. Gabriel Rodriguez has two shutouts and a 1.34 goals against average in the net.
The Monarchs are led in scoring by freshman forward Yannick Smith with 10 pointson three goals and four assists. Bobby Foglesong, Steffen Rabben and Nane Josephare next with nine points each. Freshman Shane Howard leads the team with six assists.
ODU leads the series against the Rams, 21-8-4. VCU defeated ODU last season in Richmond, 1-0. ODU has won four of the last five meetings.
ODU hosts Drexel Friday night at 7 p.m. in the final home regular season match.It will also be the final home game for the Monarch seniors.
