TOWSON, MD--Marco Mangione's goal with 11 minutes remaining lifted the Tigers of Towson (5-5/2-2) to a 2-1 victory over 20th ranked OldDominion (6-3-1/1-2-1) Saturday afternoon.
Mangione scored both Towson goals in the match. He put TU up 1-0 in the first half with an unassisted goal.ODU tied the game with a goal by senior Bobby Foglesong on an assist from freshman Shane Howard.
ODU and Towson both attempted 10 shots, with ODU having a 5-3 edge in shots on goal. Evan Newton had one save, while Towson'sJohn Steele had four.
Bobby Foglesong is now tied for the scoring lead at ODU with seven points onthree goals and one assist with Nane Joseph and Steffen Rabben. Hoard now leadsthe Monarchs in assists with five.
The Monarchs return home Wednesday night to host Georgia State at 7 p.m.
