Sunset Beach, NC.-- ODU freshman Samantha Morrell shot a 74 today for a two-day score of 145 which places her tied for third at the Elon Seatrail Women's Intercollegiate. As a team, the Lady Monarchs are in sixth place at 615.
Morrell is ted with Katelyn Stanier of Samford who shot a 75 today. Both are one over part, but just three strokes off the lead.
Laura Holmes is tied for 25th with a 155, while Kristen Hagan is 31st with a 157 andEmma Gilmore is 32nd with a 158.
The Lady Moanrchs shot three strokes better Saturday (306) than they did on Friday (309).
The Longwood women's golf squad posted a second-round score of 295 to move into first place. Josefine Sundh of Western Carolina currently sits in first place aftershooting a 72 on Saturday to lead Longwood's Kameron Carter by one stroke.
