STILLWATER, OK--Old Dominion University golfer Eric Onesi (Bear, De.) shot a 78 today and finished the NCAA South Central regional tournament tied for 30th with a 231.
Kevin Tway of host Oklahoma State won the regional with a 216, edging out his teammate Peter Uilein by one stroke.
Onesi shot a 37 on the back which included two birdies, and three bogeys. On the front he shot 41 which included five pars.Onesi entered the Regional as the first Monarch since All-American Jon Hurst ('91) to get an at-large individual bid. ODU as a teamCompeted in 2003 and 2007.
Fourth ranked Oklahoma State won the team title with an 881, 22 strokes better than ninth ranked and second place Arkansas.
