Gerald Lee Earns Mid Major All-American Honors

NORFOLK, VA-- Old Dominion's junior center-forward Gerald Lee (Uusikaupunki, Finland) has been selected to the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major All-American squad.The Monarchs who won the inaugural CollegeInsider.com Post Season Tournament with a 66-62 win over Bradley finished 15th in the final Mid-Major Poll.

Lee lead ODU in scoring at 15.5 points per game, free throw percentage (.755), fieldgoal percentage (.542) and was second in rebounding at 5.7.

Lee helped lead the Monarchs to a 25-10 record and the championship of the Collegeinsider.com Post Season Tournament. Lee was named to the All-Tournament squadas well as first team All-CAA, first team NABC All-District 10, CAA All-Tournament.

Lee had three double-doubles this year and reached the 1,000 career point mark withhis 26-point performance in ODU's ESPN Bracketbuster win over Liberty. He then scored a career high 30 points with ten boards in the Monarchs CAA quarterfinal win over Hofstra. Lee now has 1108 career points, and six career double-doubles.

Alex Loughton (ODU'06) was a 2005 Mid-Major All-American selection.
