Norfolk, Va. - Old Dominion University men's tennis players Aleksandr Seleznev and Tobias Fanselow were among four student-athletes honored as Players of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) for the week ending March 24, the league announced today.
Playing as the Monarchs No. 1 doubles team, the 33rd ranked duo of Seleznev and Fanselow upset the nation's 11th ranked duo of Louisville's Austen Childs and Simon Childs, 8-5. It was their second straight victory over a Top 15 team and improved their record on the season to 21-6. They are on an eight-match winning streak.
The pair will look to continue the streak this Saturday, March 28 when the Monarchs play host to Binghamton at 11 a.m.
