The ODU Monarchs (22-10) host the Bruins of Belmont (20-12) in the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament Monday Night at 7 p.m. in the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
This is the first meeting between the two schools. Belmont is located in Nashville, TN., and are members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They are led by 6-2 senior guard Alex Renfroe at 16.4 points per game and 7.1 rebounds. Renfroe was the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year, he scored 30 points in a two-point loss at the University of Tennessee early this year. Fellow guard Andy Wicke averaged 11.7 points and is a third team Academic All-American.
Gerald Lee leads the Monarchs in scoring at 15.5 points per game, and is second in rebounding at 5.6. Ben Finney leads the team in rebounding at 6.0 and issecond in scoring at 10.3. Darius James leads the CAA in assists/turnover ratio at 2.2 and third in the CAA in assists at 4.6.
