* Old Dominion fell in back-to-back games for the first time since dropping contests to top-ranked UConn (86-43) and #4 and national runner-up Stanford (69-61) during the Paradise Jam last Thanksgiving in St. Thomas.
* Old Dominion dropped back-to-back home games for the first time since falling three straight to Florida International (80-76) on December 21st 2005, #5 North Carolina in overtime (88-80) on December 29th, 2005 and top-ranked Tennessee (83-67) on January 2nd, 2006.
* Overall the Lady Monarchs own a 84-15 record over the last seven seasons at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. Nine of the 15 losses have come at the hands of members of the Top 25.
* The Lady Monarchs closed out non-conference action at the Constant Center. Old Dominion finished the 2008-09 season at 3-2 with wins over #16/11 Virginia, Norfolk State, and Saint Joseph's, and losses to #11/13 Tennessee and #15/16 Maryland.
* Old Dominion has one more non-confernce game left on its slate in a road trip to Ole Miss. The Lady Monarchs are currently 5-4 in non-conference action.
* Old Dominion's next home game will kick off the CAA portion of its schedule. The Lady Monarchs begin defense of a 34-game home win streak againt CAA runner-up Virginia Commonwealth. Old Dominion holds a 161-2 mark at home against conference competition.
* Senior Tiffany Green and junior Jessica Canady both performed double-doubles. Green collected 20 points and 11 boards for her third double-double of the 2008-09 season and 21st of her career. It was also the third time this year and fifth time in her career the Chesapeake, Virginia native registered 20 or more points. Canady poured in 10 point and 10 boards her her third double-double of the season and ninth of her career.
* Senior Tiffany Green swatted away five Maryland shots to move up further on the Colonial Athletic Association's Career Block List. The senior center now has 178 rejections in her career moving her into fourth on the all-time list. She needs nine more blocks to move into third on the list past Hollee Frankin of James Madison (1999-2002).
* Old Dominion only went to the free throw line 14 times as compared to Maryland's 39 attempts at the stripe.
* Maryland's starting line-up scored all but two of its 72 points. Junior forward Demauria Liles netted a career-high 20 points.
