FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
On Saturday morning rain greeted competitors as a front moved through.
A light westerly filled as the front passed and the boats launched at 1130,
unfortunately the breeze died before we could get any racing off. The teams
waited ashore until a southerly filled in. 4 races were run in 5-8 kts of
breeze, courses were windward leeward twice around, with leeward gates.
Sunday started with a shifty westerly from 5-12 kts and slowly died as
The southerly sea breeze pushed in. Once the southerly filled, the coursewas
reset and racing finished in 5-8 kts.
Thanks to Herb Larrabee for umpiring on the water and the Midshipmen for
getting off 12 races in challenging conditions. One protest was heard and
disallowed there were no requests for redress and no breakdowns.
Congratulations to St Marys, Georgetown, ODU, HWS, Navy, UPenn, Fordham andWAC
for qualifying for ACCs next weekend.
Syracuse was a no show.
