NORFOLK, Va. -- Arni Mar Arnason (Msfellsbaer, Iceland) was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season.
Arnason, a freshman from Msfellsbaer, Iceland, collected a NCAA "B" cut qualifying time and a new Colonial Athletic Association, Old Dominion and Davidson Invitational record with his performance in the 100 breaststroke, posting a time of 54.57. Along with this victory, Arnason captured the invitational record in the 50 free with a time of 20.63 to replace the former time of 21.21.
The Monarchs finished in 4th-place overall at the Davidson Invitational.
The Old Dominion men's and women's swimming and diving squad returns to action againt George Washington on Saturday, December 6th. The meet begins at 1:00 p.m.
