WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The 10th ranked Lady Monarch sailors had nine races on the second day of the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship and finished with a tenth place effort at the event. Both divisions finished ninth, with Morgan Wilson and Arianna Baker leading the way in B division. Wilson and Baker combined for 104 points in the 12 completed races.
The 104 points in B division was just 13 back of a top five finish in what would prove to be very tight competition throughout the fleet. Wilson and Baker finished outside the top ten in just three races and also posted a pair of third place efforts.
In A division, Stephanie Roble combined with Kaitlyn Paulsen (1-8) and senior Jaclyn Finney (9-12) for their ninth place finish. Paulsen sailed the first eight races with Roble, grabbing a pair of top five finishes including a third. Jaci Finney stepped in and sailed to a pair of wins with Roble, as well as posting a third place finish, too. The trio combined to finish with 111 points.
The 215 points ODU posted were just 10 back of the Connecticut College team ahead of them, and just 37 points behind a top five finish.
