NORFOLK, Va. -- Junior Alyschia Conn (Peach Bottom, Pa.) was named to the Women's Field Hockey.Com Honor Roll on Tuesday following her performance against CAA rivals Towson and Delaware last weekend. Conn tallied both goals in ODU's 2-0 shutout over Towson and added her in third goal of the weekend in the Lady Monarch's 2-1 victory over Delaware.

Against the Tigers, Conn's first goal, as well as her first tally of the season, came a minute into the game. On the first of nine Lady Monarch penalty corners, senior Katelyn Smither's (Suffolk, Va.) strike landed along side the left post. As the Towson defenders attempted to clear the ball, Conn got her stick onto the ball and past the Tiger netminder. Conn struck early in the second half off another Old Dominion penalty corner opportunity. On the option, the ball was sent to the top of the circle to sophomore Paige Clutter (Chambersburg, Pa.). Clutter looking for an opening found Conn in front of the Towson cage.

Conn gave Old Dominion a 2-0 lead against the Fightin' Blue Hen eight minutes into the second half. On the option off a corner, sophomore Loren Hatch (Green Lane, Pa.) dribbled the ball to the front of the left post. Hatch passed to Conn in front of the Delaware goal, who once again among opponent defenders, managed to find the opening.

The Old Dominion field hockey team also returned to the Women's Field Hockey.Com Top 20 Poll this week. The Lady Monarchs, who are ranked 20th, make their first appearance in the poll since September 1st and the first week of the poll.

Old Dominion, who is riding a four-game win streak and is within one game of .500 at 5-6 overall, will hit the road for the final time in regular season action. The Lady Monarchs will meet Hofstra on Friday, October 10th and Drexel on Sunday, October 12th.
