ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Sophomore Stephanie Roble lead the way after just four completed races for the Lady Monarchs with a third place effort in C division at the Navy Fall Women's Intersectional. Senior Jaclyn Finney and junior Katrina Williams also sailed well in A division to put ODU in ninth after the first day.
Roble won two races in the singlehanded C division, and posted 19 total points to put her in third place behind Brown's Elizabeth Barry (15) and Boston College's Annie Haeger (17). With just four completed races, Roble never finished out of the top ten.
In A division, Williams and Finney finished with 35 points. They grabbed a fifth and a sixth place finish in two races and are just eleven points back of the top four boats.
In B division, sophomores Morgan Wilson and Kaitlyn Paulsen struggled to an 18th place effort, posting two 18s and two 14s on the day.
The wind never filled in on Saturday, allowing for just four races in each of the three divisions. The team garnered 118 points on the first day and are just 23 points behind the top five finishers.
