Junior infielder Chris Buss slammed a three-run homer, and ODU pitchers held theAlumni to just three hits in the 5-0 victory for the Varsity Saturday afternoon.Over 38 former Monarch players and managers were on hand for the weekend festivitieswhich included a golf outing and the alumni game.
With the Monarch varsity leading 1-0, Buss hit his homerun to left center field withTwo aboard to give ODU a 4-0 lead. Sophomore catcher Edgar Hernandez sacrificeFly plated the Monarchs fifth and final run in the fourth inning.ODU starter Cory Toth picked up the win.
