MAISA Spring Open NY Maritime
2:27 PM 4-20-08REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: Races started promptly at 9:40 in a light northerly rangingfrom 4-8 knots. The northerly continued to build throughout the day toaround 8-13 knots. 8 A division races were completed and 6 B divisionraces before the northerly died out. Race 7B was abandoned due to thelack of wind. The seabreeze filled in rather quickly around 3:45 and thefinal B division set was completed. 2 protests were filed resulting in 2DSQ's.
Sunday: Racing started at 9:30 in a northerly once again, ranging from8-10 knots. 6 races were sailed in each division which completed therotation. No protests were filed. Many thanks for all the Maritimesailors who gave up their weekend to help run a great regatta.
