PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- With just four races on Sunday, the Lady Monarchs managed to move up two spots in the final standings for a 14th place finish at the Dellenbaugh Trophy Regatta this weekend. The two boats combined for five top ten finishes on Sunday to help boost the sailors to a finish with 269 total points after 12 complete races. As a team, Old Dominion finished just 27 points out of the top ten at the regatta.
In A division, freshman Stephanie Roble and junior Alissa Ayres sailed all 12 races to a 15th place finish. They scored 140 points as they struggled on the first day, but managed two fifth place efforts on the weekend and finished among the top ten boats in three of the last five races.
The B division group managed a better first day and finished with seven top tens on the weekend, good for a 12th place effort. They totaled 129 points in the division with freshman Morgan Wilson skippering the entire regatta with Erin Greene and Jane Bleakney as crew.
