| Paul (norfolk): Could you please explain the APR? |
 | | Jeff Wilson: APR is still a new measure forevaluating academic performance and retention. Each specific sport team is held to a national measure ona yearly basis based on student athlete eligibility and retention at the university. |

| Jeremy (Newport News): For the non football and basketball sports, how does the NCAA determine scholarship limits?Like some sports have 9.5 and others have 11.9. thanks |
| | Jeff Wilson: Each member school in NCAA Division I has the opportunity to vote on minimumscholarshiprequirements. These amountscan be adjusted based on voting from each of the member NCAA schools. They are evaluated on participation rates and gender equity amongother things. |

| | Jeff Wilson: My initial compliance experience was at CampbellUniversity. I enjoyed the factthe compliance is envolved inevery aspect of athletic administration. |

| Karen (Virginia Beach): Are there written guidelines forfans and boosters? |
| | Jeff Wilson: We have a guide for athleticinterests, aka-boosters. The NCAA has general guidelines,and principals which includessportsmanship and fan behavior. |

| June (Suffolk): Explain what you do in terms of Student Athlete Welfare? Your jobmust be stressful with all of theteams, coaches and student athletes. Thanks |
| | Jeff Wilson: The role of every administrator,not just compliance has a responsiblity to look out forthe best interest inall studentathletes and make decisionsin that regards. This can befrom providing sufficient academic support to filing waivers on behalf of individualstudents. |

| Doug (Norfolk): Is there a limit on playing inexempt or none exempt basketballtournaments? |
| | Jeff Wilson: Yes, there are limits forall outside competition. Evenexempt events have limits on the number of games thatcount toward basketball competition.games that count |

| Karla (Hampton): ODU has had some students like Jonathan Adams attend an NCAA Leadership council. Are there other areas for student athlete participation? |
| | Jeff Wilson: Yes there are many avenues oncampus and beyond for student athlete participation.This includes such things asSAAC, and captain's council. We encourage all of ourstudent athletes to get involved in activities out sidetheir respective sports. |

| Larry (Virginia Beach): Please explain the rules on overseas basketball tours. Sometime they play two weeks,othertimes they just go for three daysand play twice a day? |
| | Jeff Wilson: The rules in place are to limitstudent athlete time away fromcampus during the academic year. There are some opportunities during officialvacation periods that could allow for more competition. |

| Rc, Harrisonburg: Concerning recruiting (any sport), how much can a fan tell a coach about a player seen? Can the fan talk to the player about ODU? |
| | Jeff Wilson: Fans can communicate information to our coaching staff about a perspective player at anytime. Fans cannot communicated directlywith the prespective studentathlete about ODU. |

| Larry (Virginia Beach): What is the transfer rule whengoing from Division One to two orthree? |
| | Jeff Wilson: There are different rules for different sports. For football and basketball and soon to be baseball, student athletes are required to sit out for one year before being considered eligible to compete on the Divsion I level. There are different regulations when a student athlete transfers fromdivision I to II or III. |

| Pat, (Raleigh, NC): What significant changes do you foresee being discussed by NCAA committee in reference to eligibility for transfers due to changes in coaches, if anything. |
| | Jeff Wilson: Changes are not currently being discussed in regards tothis situation. When a studentathlete signs with an institution, they are making acommittment to the school andnot particularly to the coach. |

| JAN VIRGINIA BEACH: HOW DO YOU CHECK A STUDENTS ELIGILITY AFTER HIGH SCHOOL |
| | Jeff Wilson: The NCAA has developed aneligibility center and this center certifies all incomingfreshmen student athletes forany division one or II institution. |
