2008 Admiral Moore Intersectional
Saturday: Dense fog and a shifty northerly were followed by a 20-30knots Southerly. 35 races were completed with 2 protests filed and oneresulting in a DSQ.
Sunday: Overnight, NY Maritime boats were tossed about by 60+ knot windsand all of the water was blown out of the East River resulting in anexceptionally low tide! After straightening out the boats and lettingthe tide rise, 3 races were sailed in 15-25 knots from the Northwest.When sustained winds increased in the 20+ knot range, racing wascancelled due to wind and cold. The round robin was not completed, sothe trophy will read that Mother Nature won the 2008 Admiral Moore.
