NORFOLK, VA-- The ODU Baseball Monarchs return toaction Friday to begin a three-game series against Temple. First pitch Friday is 3 p.m.atthe Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.
ODU is 2-2 after splitting two games with defending BIGEAST Champion Rutgers, then defeating second ranked North Carolina, 8-6 in 10 inningsand losing 7-3 to 16th ranked Virgnia.
Temple is 1-2 thus far this season. The Owls will throw Tom Dolanon Friday, Matt Monigardini on Saturday and Mike Mongiardini on Sunday.
All CAA righthander Dan Hudson will throw for ODU on Friday, followed byAll-CAA and All-American righthander Anthony Shawler on Saturday's 1 p.m. contest.
Chris Buss leads ODU in hitting at .375, while Bryan Cipolla leads theteam wtih six RBI.
OTHER NOTES:Anthony Shawler was named CAA Pitcher of the Week.Shawler pitchedsix scoreless innings against Rutgers, fanning 10, including the firstfour.
