ODU lost to fifth ranked Georgetown, 66-48 Wednesday night. It was the Monarchs third straight top ten opponent. Sophomore forward Gerald Lee scored a career high 24 points and hauled down a career high 12 rebounds. ODU shot .313 from the floor while the Hoyas hit .520 from the floor. Roy Hibbert led Georgetown with 14 points and ten boards. ODU outrebounded Georgetown 41-34, and the Monarchs also outrebounded both North Carolina and Louisville.
Series Vs. Georgia State
ODU leads the series, 7-1. Last year, the Monarchs defeated the Panthers 92-57 at ODU and 68-55 in Atlanta. Georgia State's lone win over the Monarchs was a 71-68 decision in 1977-78 at the Norfolk Scope Arena.
