NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The Monarch sailors finished in 14th place at the Danmark Trophy regatta this weekend. Junior Bobby Noonan skippered A division with sophomore crew Wilson Stout to a 12th place finish while junior Michael Brown skippered B division with junior Jaclyn Finney and sophomore Michael Komar to 13th place. The 18th ranked co-ed team also finished 3rd this weekend at the Tom Curtis Regatta in Washington, D.C.
Noonan and Stout finished with 181 points in 17 races. The two finished as high as second once and were among the top five in six races.
Brown and Komar raced together in races 1-7 including two top seven finishes. Finney stepped in for the remainder of the regatta and also notched two top seven finishes. The B division boat tallied 209 points in their 13th place effort.
The 390 points through 17 races was good for 14th overall. The team was 44 points out of the top ten.
