Lady Monarchs Finish 5th at Yale Women's Fall Intersectional

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Lady Monarchs continued its consistency on the second day of the Yale Women's Intersectional and finished in fifth place overall. Stephanie Roble and Alissa Ayres finished in 7th in A division while Morgan Wilson and Elyssa Albert also finished in 7th in B division.

In A division, the freshman skipper, Roble, sailed with the junior crew, Ayres, to 7th place. The pair finished just 10 points out of the top five in the division with 105 total points. The pair finished among the top ten in eight of the 12 completed races. They also won a race on the second day.

In B division, Wilson, also a freshman, skippered junior crew, Albert, to seventh place in the division. The pair were just 12 points out of the top five in the division with 109 total points. In the first and 11th race, Wilson and Albert finished in 20th and 21st respectively, but in eight of the other nine races, they never finished out of the top eight.

The two boats combined for 214 points, good for a tie for fifth place overall. St. Mary's won the regatta, followed by Charleston, Georgetown and Navy.
