NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The No. 10 Lady Monarch sailing team is in 5th place after the first day of sailing at the Yale Women's Intersectional. The two boats combined for 103 points and trail St. Mary's, Georgetown, Charleston and Navy at the regatta. Freshman Morgan Wilson and junior Elyssa Albert won one race in B division. The event will return to action and wrap up on Sunday.

The pair in B division had the better day by one point, finishing with 51 total points. Wilson and Albert faltered to start, finishing 20th in the first race, but then followed with a first, 7th, 3rd, 8th and 12th place finish to maintain seventh place in B division.

In A division, freshman skipper Stephanie Roble sailed with veteran crew Alissa Ayres to 7th place, with 52 points. The pair finished as high as third in the six races and only finished out of the top ten once.

ODU trails Navy for fourth place by 22 points and the leading St. Mary's team by 43 points.
