ALPHARETTA, GA.-- The ODU Monarch golfers finished 22nd at the NCAAEast Regional at the Golf Club of Georgia (Lakeside Course). The Universityof Georgia won the event with an 855, 12 strokes better than Floirda, Auburn and Georgia Tech. As a team, ODU shot 926.
Stan Guerrero led ODU with a final three-day score of 227 to place 72nd, while Eric Onesi was at 229 to tie for 87th. Both Onesi and MatthewRendel shot 77 today. Freshman John Murphy recorded ODU's best round witha 73 on Friday.
This was the second trip as a team to the NCAA tournament. ODU placed15 in 2003.
