WILLIAMSBURG, VA--Sophomore righthander Anthony Shawler tosseda complete game four-hitter to lead Old Dominion (33-21/18-10) to a 9-1victory over William and Mary (28-25/12-16) Friday evening.

The win along with Delaware's keeps ODU and the Blue Hens tied for first in the CAA. VCU was rained out at Northeastern to fall a half a game back. They will play two on Saturday.

This was Shawler's seventh complete game of the year to run his record toa CAA best 10-2 on the season with a 2.30 earned run average.

In the fifth inning, with two outs, ODU broke open the game with five runs. David Burns walked with the bases loaded to score Cameron Scott,then Nick Erdman singled in Mike Zahm and Jake McAloose. Anthony Shawlersingled in Burns and Nick Erdman scored on a wild pitch. Gerard Hallalso singled in a run in ODU's two run eighth inning.

Nick Erdman led ODU with three this, while Mike Zahm, Shawler and CameronScott each had two hits on the night.

The Tribe scored their only run in the eighth when Tim Park singled home Brent McWhorter, who had advanced to second on a passed ball. The final regular season game will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Plumeri Park.
