BOSTON, MA-- Old Dominion (20-12/8-2) pounded out 18 hits as eachstarter had atleast one base hit, and scored atleast one run for an 18-1 CAA victory over Northeastern (8-7/4-5) Friday afternoon.

Freshman shortstop Gerard Hall (Washington, DC.) knocked in four runs with three hits, while junior designated hitter David Burns, firstbaseman Anthony Shawler and centerfielder Scott Cameron each knocked in three runs. Tyler Belcher and Shawler had three hits each and Shawler scored four times. Belcher, Shawler and Scott each tripled and Shawler and Hall each doubled.

David Burns broke the game open with a three-run homer in the fifth to make it 6-1 against CAA ERA leader Kris Dabrowiecki (1.40), It was Burns' seventh of the season which ranks him fourth in the CAA.

On the mound, Dan Hudson won his fifth game of the season and lowered hisERA to 2.73. Hudson fanned seven and walked only two. The Huskies lone run camein the first as Anthony DiCesare led the game off with a walk. He advanced to second and third on wild pitchers, then scored on a passed ball. Hunter Hall came on in the seventh and finished the game.

The two teams play again on Saturday at 12 noon.
