RADIO: For the 16th-straight season ESPN Radio (1310 am - Norfolk, Va.) will be broadcasting all the Lady Monarch contests. Thirteen-time sportscaster of the Year Tony Mercurio will call all the action. Former Lady Monarch and ODU Hall of Fame inductee, Adrienne Goodson and former assistant coach Susan Montgomery will join Mercurio and add color commentary at all home games at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. A monthly fee of $6.95 through the College Pass program, which also provides the audio and video broadcasts of over 100 colleges and universities, will allow fans to listen to the broadcast online at www.odusports.com.

ABOUT OLD DOMINION: The Lady Monarchs have won four straight, including Thursday night's 82-42 win over Towson. Senior Tish Lyons captured a season-high 19 points as she helped the Ldy Monarchs to their best shooting percentage in a game in nearly four years and its largest margin of victory this season. The entire Old Dominion roster scored as Lyons was one of four in double figures. She was joined by sophomore Tiffany Green and junior T.J. Jordan, each with 12, and junior Shahida Williams with 10. Old Dominion shot a blistering 60.4 percent (32-of-53), not only a season-high, but the Lady Monarchs' best shooting percentage since hitting 61.1 percent (33-of-54) against Hofstra in the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament back on March 13, 2003. The 40-point victory was also the largest for the Lady Monarchs this season, surpassing its previous high of 39 in a 77-38 win over Chicago State on December 9th. Old Dominion also reached the 80-point mark for the fifth time in 2006-07. Jordan continues to lead the Lady Monarchs in scoring, averaging 15.1 to rank sixth in the CAA in the category. She is the lone Lady Monarch in double figures. Green leads ODU in rebounding hauling in an average of 6.3 boards per contest. She is 20th in the CAA in crashing the boards.
LADY MONARCH MOMENTS:
Old Dominion had its largest victory of the season in an 82-42 win over Towson on Thursday night. It was the fifth time the Lady Monarchs reached the 80+ point mark this season.
Old Dominion shot a blistering 60.4 percent (32-of-53) against the Tigers, not only a season-high, but the Lady Monarchs' best shooting percentage since hitting 61.1 percent (33-of-54) against Hofstra in the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament back on March 13, 2003.
Old Dominion moved into second place in the CAA race by defeating Delaware last Sunday, 63-47.
The 47 points were the fewest the Blue Hens have scored all season and the fewest since netting only 41 in a 41-55 setback at UNC-Wilmington back on January 6th. Additionally it was Delaware's largest loss since a 27-point setback at James Madison, 57-84, back on February 1, 2004.
Senior Sherida Triggs collected her second double-double of the year and 11th of her career with a team-high 12 points and 11 rebounds against the Fightin' Blue Hens. Triggs was one of four Lady Monarchs in double figures along with 11 from T.J. Jordan , and 10 from both Tiffany Green and Tay Ransburg.
Old Dominion posted a 89-75 victory over Northeastern on last Thursday night in their first ever trip to Solomon Court in Boston, Massachusetts.
Junior guard T.J. Jordan netted a career-high 34 points at Northeastern last Thursday. She surpassed her previous high of 28 captured at Delaware on February 11, 2005. It was the most points since Shareese Grant exploded for 35 points in the 2005 CAA Tournament final, an overtime victory over Delaware.
T.J. Jordan also set a new school record for three's made and attempted as she went 10-of-22 from downtown. The previous mark was held by Aubrey Eblin when she went 9-of-16 against UNC-Wilmington on Feb. 17, 1998. The 10 three's are also most made by a Division I women's player this season.
The 89 points scored by Old Dominion were the most netted this season by the team. The Lady Monarchs have reached the 80-point or more mark four times this season (Va. Commonwealth (twice), Drexel, Northeastern).
ABOUT WILLIAM & MARY: The Tribe of the College of William & Mary enter Sunday afternoon's contest with a 15-10 overall mark and 7-7 CAA record. The Tribe is currently in seventh place in the league race and coming off a 68-54 loss to Virginia Commonwealth on Thursday. The Tribe is led by Preseason Player of the Year Kyra Kaylor. Kaylor is averaging 14.2 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game to rank 11th and fourth respectively in the CAA. Kaylor was held to just two points in the first meeting with Old Dominion. Also joining Kaylor in double figures is Dani Kell (12.6) and Devin James (12.4).
SERIES WITH WILLIAM & MARY: Old Dominion lead the all-time series 43-3. The Tribe has not defeated the Lady Monarchs in 30 years with William & Mary's last victory over Old Dominion coming back in the 1975-76 season with an 89-53 win. Since then the Lady Monarchs have been winners of the last 41 contests. Last year's first meeting, a 77-68 Lady Monarch victory in Williamsburg back on January 8th, 2006 was the closest margin between the two teams since 1992, but in the second meeting on February 26th , Old Dominion downed the Tribe 85-33 to mark the lowest scoring output by an Lady Monarch opponent in 2005-06. Old Dominion took the first meeting of this year's season series, 63-47.
LAST TIME VS. WILLIAM & MARY: The Old Dominion women's basketball team kept CAA Preseason Player Kyra Kaylor in check, holding her to two points total, as they collected a 63-47 win over William & Mary Sunday back on January 28th, 2007. The game opened with the Lady Monarchs holding the Tribe without a bucket for seven and half minutes as they raced out to a 15-0 lead. Devin James finally stopped the Tribe's scoring drought with a jumper at the 12:27 mark, two of her team-high 12 points. William & Mary didn't reach double figure until 2:51 left in the half. Old Dominion held a 31-18 lead at intermission. The Tribe's Tiffany Benson put a lay-up up and in to open the second of action to cut the William & Mary deficit to 11 at 31-20, but the Tribe would not get any closer. The Lady Monarchs led by as many as 18 in the second half. The Lady Monarchs hauled in a season-high 57 rebounds and were led by the 15-board effort by sophomore Tiffany Green and 10-board performance of junior Tay Ransburg. Green's 15 rebounds tied her career mark which also occured Drexel on February 15, 2005. The defensive effort held William & Mary to just 28.6 percent (18-of-63) from the floor, the lowest an ODU opponent has shot this season. Old Dominion managed to outscored the Tribe bench, 31-2. Sophomore Jazzmin Walters poured in 12 points to lead the Lady Monarchs. Senior Tish Lyons added in 10 from off the bench, along six assist to tie her career-high. Kaylor, coming off a career-high equaling 30 point night was held scoreless through the first half and didn't notch her first points until the 15:20 mark of the second half.

FROM DOWNTOWN: Junior guard T.J. Jordan is third in the country in three-point field goals made with 3.3 per game and is 75th in three-point field goal percentage at .358. She has 978 career points which puts on track to reach 1,000 points in about two games (or so). She has 78 three-point field goals this season and 218 for her career. Aubrey Eblin holds the school record in both categories with 97 treys made during the 1997-98 season and 250 made during her career.
