NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion field hockey team who they will play and where they will go in the 2006 NCAA Field Hockey Tournament as CSTV airs the selection show live. The show can also be viewed over the internet at www.ncaasports.com. The first and second rounds will be held on Nov. 11th and 12th.
The Lady Monarchs, who fell 1-0 to second seeded James Madision, in the championship game of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament are still ranked third in the latest and final version of the STX/NFHCA Poll. Wake Forest took over the top spot after defeating Maryland in the championship game of the ACC Tournament. Maryland fell to No. 2, while Duke sits at No. 4 and Ohio State is at No. 5.
In the Women's Field Hockey.Com Poll, Old Dominion slipped a spot to No. 3. Wake Forest also took over the top position in the Women's Field Hockey.Com Poll followed by Maryland at No. 2. Connecticut was positioned at No. 4 followed by Ohio State at No. 5.
