VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The Old Dominion field hockey defeated Northeastern, 7-0, in the first game of the Colonial Athletic Association Semifinals on Saturday afternoon at the National Training Center.

The Lady Monarchs will take on second seeded James Madison in Sunday's final at 1:00 p.m. Old Dominion is going for its 14th CAA title since joining the league in 1991.

Six different Lady Monarchs scored in the victory led by senior Dana Sensenig (Denver, Pa.) with two tallies.

Senior Second Team All-CAA member Darcy Pinchbeck (Suffolk, Va.) collect the game-winner with her ninth goal of the seasonjust under 20 minutes into the game. By the half, Old Dominion had a 3-0 advantage after Jo Ann van Aswegan (Bloemfontein, South Africa) tipped in the ball at the 28 minute mark and CAA Player of the Year Caroline Nichols (Va. Beach, Va.) found the back of the net off a penalty corner.

The Lady Monarchs added four more goal in the second half. Two minutes into the second stanza, sophomore midfielder Nico van Nispen (Bilthoven, Holland) netted her 10th goal of the year to start the scoring barrage. Sensenig would then go on to net back-to-back goals. Her first came off a penalty stroke in the 45th minute of play. Sensenig, who leads the nation in penalty strokes, converted her fifth of the season. Ten minutes later the senior First Team All-CAA honoree scored on the option a penalty corner. Fellow first teamer Denise Admiraal (Heillo, Holland) rounded out the scoring with the game's seventh and final goal a minute later.

Liz Centofanti made nine saves in net for the Huskies, while All-Rookie Team and First Team All-CAA member Kelly Driscoll (West Chester, Pa.) needed to only make one stop in the cage for the Lady Monarchs.

Old Dominion outshot Northeastern 21-2 and outcornered the Huskies, 9-3.
