PINEHURST, NC-- The Old Dominion Lady Monarch golf team finished in seventh place as the final day of the CAA Championships being wrapped up at Pinehurst No. 6 in North Carolina. As a team, ODU shot a 342 today. Sophomore Meghan Schaefer (Union, KY) shot a final round 83 and finished a team high 28th place.
Team wise, Georgia State won the CAA championship with a three day total of 929, while UNCW, Richmond, JMU, and Xavier rounded out the top 5. CAA Golfer of the Year Lisbeth Meincke of Georgia State won medalist honors as she shot a 78-72-70 to win by 10 strokes over teammate Joanna Klatten.
