PINEHURST, NC-- Sophomore Bailey Mosier (Las Vegas, NV) shot an opening round 82 to finish in a tie for 11th after the first round of the CAA Women's Golf Championships held at the Pinehurst No. 6 course on Friday. As a team, the Lady Monarchs fashioned a score of 342 and are sitting in seventh place after the first day of competition. Sophomore Meghan Schaefer (Union, KY) shot an 83 and is in a tie for 17th place after one round.

Team wise, Georgia State is ahead of the field with a score of 317, while William & Mary only trails by one stroke. UNCW, James Madison, and Richmond round out the top 5. Individually, the Tribe's Sayde Murphy leads all competitors as she fired an opening 75 to hold a one stroke advantage over Joanna Klatten of Georgia State.

Action continues tomorrow at Pinehurst No. 6.
