Godin & Miles Lead ODU To A 10-3 Win Over W&M

NORFOLK, VA--Junior centerfielder Jimmy Miles (Orlando, Fl.)pounded out four hits, knocked in three runs and stole three bases to help leadthe Monarchs of Old Dominion University (24-3/ 8-0 CAA) to a 10-3 victoryover the Tribe of William and Mary (8-15/3-8 CAA). ODU ranked 30th byCOLLEGIATE BASEBALL won it's 13th straight game.

Junior righthander Jason Godin (Stafford, Va.) won his sixth game of the season, fanning 11 batters. He walked just one in eight innings of work. Godin has 59strikeouts in 53 innings of work.

All 15 ODU hits were singles, led by Miles with four. Miles got thingsstarted in the first as he singled, then stole second and third, and came home onMike Zahm's(Omaha, NE) single. In the second inning, Miles singled home Justin Gregula and in the fourth, his single plated Keith Hahn (Valley Stream, NY.) in ODU's three-run inning. Miles did it again in the fifth, singling home Justin Gregula (Washington, PA.). Miles now leads the CAA with 25 stolen bases.

Gregula, who had three RBI last night knocked in two more runs tonight. Mike Zahm, Keith Hahn and Gregula each had two hits on the evening, as every Monarch got a hit.

The Tribe scored two runs in the third on Greg Maliniak's double which scoredJeff Lunardi and Brent McWhorter. In the seventh inning, McWhorter thripled homeMike Sheridan for the Tribe's third run. The two teams complete the three-game CAA series Sunday at 2 p.m.
